Caroline and Leigh invited us to be a part of their charming chapel wedding this summer! They kicked off our busy summer wedding season with a bang. The two of them tied the knot in their home church with their closest friends and family. From the time we arrived to the time we left, every moment felt so intimate and perfectly “them”. Nothing felt done only for photos sake, and that’s what I loved so much about this day. I had to freedom to capture them and their love for just what it is! I think that’s when I tell the best stories through my work. Take a scroll and enjoy a peek into this beautiful day for C&L!

Now this was probably my photo highlight of the day. As Caroline and Leigh were doing their bird seed exit, Leigh scooped up Caroline to head for the getaway car. As he was doing that, Carolines veil almost fell right through a mud puddle – you can see everyones reactions behind them. We were all holding our breathe lol. But as you can also see, the best man saved the day and was able to grab her veil before it made it in the mud. I just love how moments like this make for the best photos!

Then it was off to the reception..

Emily reached out to me early this year and asked if I’d be interested in flying out to NYC to shoot her 10 year vow renewal! And I would have been INSANE had I said no! I knew this was the opportunity of a lifetime and I couldn’t wait to take it. I knew from the start that our visions were lining up which made me even more excited to be a part of their special day! These two were seeking fun, unique, and spontaneous photos that could last a life. And the best part- they brought their family along to witness it all and to be a part of the fun. It’s so evident that aside from one another, family is everything to these two. Take a scroll through the day with the O’Neals.

We began at the hotel for some getting ready shots. If I wanted to be crammed into 1 tiny NYC room with anyone, it would be them. @Makeupbykatrinanyc glammed the girls up and was sooo sweet!

After everyone was ready, we moved onto some finishing touches and spent a few intimate moments with Emily and Aubrey before heading out the door.

I can honestly say now that since I’ve shot a “wedding” in NYC, that I can shoot one anywhere! It was super chaotic trying to get the right shots in the busy street, but I love that imperfection in some of the shots I got. They really just showed the character that everyone loves about the city.

After running around Times Square, it was off to Central Park to renew vows. We had to remake some taxi photos that they took 10 years ago!

Emily and Aubrey chose to renew their vows alongside their children, on the same bridge that they said “I do” 10 years ago. It’s so evident how they all love one another so much! Family is everything to this crew.

Fun fact- Aubreys ring finger was actually broken and super swollen but she was determined to still get her new ring on! And she did!

The next group of photos are some of my favorite. Quite a few tears were shed during this sequence of pictures because their just so happened to be a violinist playing one of Aubreys favorite songs. We took a few moments to let them dance and just spend some time wrapped up together.

Happy tears were shed that day.

After wrapping up Central Park, it was time for a drink and to run around the subway! I got to use a lot of direct flash (my favorite) and I think these two felt refreshed and ready for the next photo round after their outfit change!

I’m extremely grateful for the opportunity to capture this day for Emily and Aubrey. They took a chance on me and I’m forever thankful. I was once just a 19 year old kid with a dream. I wish I could go back and tell her that she’s gonna make it.

Hey there! So, picture this: I got to take some super cool photos with a cottage garden inspo, filled with flowers and (some) sunshine. It was like stepping into a little fairy tale! Let me tell you all about it.

Okay, so first off, I want to shoutout the amazing vendors who helped make this shoot as beautiful as it was! It wouldn’t have been possible without their hands in it all! You can find the vendors instagrams at the bottom of this blog post.

Our florist, Paige Colston, worked really hard to make everything look awesome! She executed the vision better than I saw it in my head. The florals were romantic and dreamy, and set up the perfect stage for a love story to unfold. I could not stop staring at all the beautiful colors involved. Paige is AMAZING at what she does, and her work here proves it!

Once everything was set up, it was time to start snapping pics. And let me tell you, it was pure magic! I first got to capture some solo shots of beautiful Brooklyn, then all the sweet moments between the couple—like the way Austin and Brooklyn looked at each other and laughed together. It was like being in a real-life romance movie!

Brittany Walker is my go-to for styles because she ALWAYS over delivers!!! I keep telling her she should be on Hollywood or something because she has such an eye for styling. I have used her for so many content days and my own personal hairstyles too! She never misses. I mean seriously who else could make a bun look so cute!?

I also want to give a huge thank you to my sweet friends Hannah Williams & Kennedy Cain with Louisiana Dress Rentals for the stunning dresses! Every. single. look. was GIVING!! We decided to shoot in almost all of the dresses sent to us because it was that hard to choose just 1 look.

The energy between Brooklyn and Austin was contagious! None of these smiles had to be “faked” for a photo!

If you’ve made it this far, then you must agree that the camera adores these two!!! It was super overcast by this point so I pulled out my flash to help lighten some of the shadows. I never use my flash during the daytime much but I think it actually gave these a cool look!

The thunder started rolling in, so we wrapped up things with the flowers and headed over to the pool for a quick dip! Seriously, these guys are the MVP’s. I know that water was cold! They stuck it out for us, even though Austin was completely surprised by the whole jumping in the pool thing lollllll. Happy wife, happy life, right?!

Austin’s reaction says it all..

This was about the time that the tornado alarms started going off, so we sealed things with a kiss and got outta there quick! You know what we photographers say- anything for the shot 😉

Overall, it was an incredible shooting experience. Being surrounded by so much beauty and love was totally inspiring. I left the venue feeling like I had just stepped out of a fairy tale, with some amazing photos to remember it all by.

Have I mentioned lately how much I love what I do? Spending this day celebrating the love between these two was truly something special. From the stunning venue grounds, to the beautiful friendships, and most importantly the tear-jerking love that Rhyann & Austin share, made every click of the button better than the last. So much true emotion was felt on their wedding day, and I’m blessed to have been able to have a front row seat to it all. Fun fact: This was the first wedding day that I ever hired a second shooter to tag along! I think I’m hooked now. The extra help was so nice, and Meg got some pretty awesome shots! In return, a kick-butt wedding day gallery for the beautiful couple!

Spring is a season of renewal, blooming flowers, and the promise of new beginnings. It’s no wonder that Rhyann and Austin chose to tie the knot during this time of year, surrounded by the vibrant colors and fresh scents of nature. As a photographer, capturing the essence of a spring wedding requires a delicate balance of creativity, and an appreciation for the beauty that this season brings. Springtime light has a soft and ethereal quality that is ideal for photography.

One of the most enchanting aspects of spring is its soft, diffused light that bathes everything in a warm and romantic glow.

A wedding day is a whirlwind of emotions, excitement, and anticipation, and perhaps nowhere is this more evident than in the moments leading up to the ceremony. As the bride and groom prepare to say “I do,” there is a sense of magic in the air—a mix of nerves, joy, and anticipation—that sets the stage for the rest of the day. As a photographer, capturing these intimate and fleeting moments of getting ready is a privilege and a joy.

A wedding day is not just about the union of two souls in love, it’s also a celebration of friendship, support, and the bonds that tie us together. Central to this celebration are the bridesmaids—the bride’s closest friends and confidantes—who stand by her side, offering love, laughter, and unwavering support as she prepares to say “I do.” These girls were such a sweet bunch!!!

The live DJ kept the energy high and the dance floor packed! There certainly wasn’t a dull moment of celebrating on this evening.

As the final chords of the last dance fade away and the sparklers flicker out, their wedding day came to a close, marking the end of a whirlwind of emotions, celebrations, and cherished moments. While it may be bittersweet to bid farewell to such a magical day, it signaled the beginning of their beautiful journey as a married couple. We are so happy for these two, and are wishing them nothing but happy days ahead!

From the moment I pulled down the driveway to Katies weddings location, I was blown away. From the gorgeous white tent, to the classic and timeless florals, I knew I was in for a beautiful day. And I had not even made it inside yet! I was instantly greeted by family and the sweetest wedding party. All the girls were so helpful to Katie. She chose a great crew to stand by her side. You could sense how incredible each of their friendships were with one another. Bailey got ready one house over, which made for a seamless timeline and hangs the guys in the game room. And you guessed it. Football was definitely on! The getting ready photos happen to be some of my favorite. The laid back and stress free atmosphere felt like a breathe of fresh air to capture.

It was not only one of the most well put together wedding days I’ve had the privilege of photographing, but it was also so incredibly filled with joy and love all around. And that’s not always easy to pull off! There weren’t many dry eyes that day. Those are always my favorite days. Jump into this gorgeous and heartfelt wedding day, and try not to look through without getting a smile on your face…

My goodness gracious, could I imagine a more incredible couple to work with? I think notttt…?

Seriously, Makenzie & Taylor are one of those couples that I just straight up–don’t know what I did to deserve them.

I don’t even know where to begin with their wedding. From start to finish is was genuine and a reflection of their true love for one another. They were two of the most laid back bride and grooms that I’ve met so far. And I LOVE that in a wedding day! The entire day just felt all about them and the love they share. Not about the fancy decorations or the venue, just them. I think every single photo reflects that. And I consider myself the lucky one to have captured it.
